Getting properly underway now

Right, I now have an actual hosting deal off of GoDaddy so I should be able to crack on with sorting out the website in all that spare time.

So, the blog is basically going to be my musings on the latest stuff in science, what's going on in the world, and, like, cultural stuff (which mostly means books, films and albums I come across), mixed up with updates on how my writing's going (so I'll be bookmarking the thesaurus at the "slowly" page for those posts).

I do appreciate that none of this constitutes anything remotely resembling a Unique Selling Point, so it'll just have to rely on my brilliant wit and keen, knowledgeable observation. Good.

Oh, and the blog header is from Nietzsche. Yes, I am that pretentious.
